Dawn Tawata

I’m a licensed psychotherapist and LCSW (she/her), born and raised on O‘ahu. I believe therapy begins with feeling genuinely seen, heard, and understood. My approach is trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and LGBTQ+ affirming, grounded in curiosity, compassion, and respect for each person’s unique lived experience. I work collaboratively with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma (including PTSD and CPTSD), grief, and life transitions. I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions. Please note that my office is accessible by stairs and requires walking up steps to enter. Telehealth options are fully available for clients with mobility needs or anyone who prefers to meet virtually.
